Szewczenko
1915-1991

Konstantine Szewczenko studied at the Warsaw Artschool (Poland).
Painter of portraits of important persons and impressive figures
of the Polish community.
Szewcenko was very attached to the Polish culture,
especially the Polish folklore and the Jewish traditions.
After World War II he made portraits of rabbins, praying old
people and young hassidim (orthodox Jewish people).
He worked with a nearly photographic realism.
