Claas H. Meiners
1819-1894
Claas Hendrik Meiners, born August 19th 1819 in
Amsterdam, died April 20st 1894 in Arnhem. (Holland).
Student of B.C. Koekkoek. He lived and worked in
Amsterdam, ‘s-Graveland, The Hague, Oosterbeek and
after 1871 Arnhem.
Claas Meiners gave painting lessons, his son Piet Meiners
(1857-1903) got his first painting instuctions from his father.
He was a painter of landscapes.
Exhibitions in Amsterdam and The Hague.Works in
possession of the Gemeentemuseum Arnhem and
the Haags Gemeentemuseum.
