Lodewijk J. Kleijn
1817-1897
Lodewijk Johannes Kleijn was born on August 14th. 1817 in Loosduiden, he died in The Hague March 11th, 1897. (The Netherlands).
He was a student of Andreas Schelfhout (1787-1870).
L.J. Kleijn was a very meritorious painter of landscapes, by
preference winterlandscapes. He also made lithographs.
Exhibitions in Amsterdam and The Hague.
Works by L.J. Kleijn in possession of the Rijksprentenkabinet
and Museum Fodor in Amsterdam, Haags Gemeentemuseum and
Gemeentearchief in The Hague, Rijksmuseum Kröller-Müller Otterlo,
Gemeentemuseum Arnhem and others.
