J.G. Casteelen

Jan Gerardus Casteelen, born in Leiden 1795, he died in Leiden
1847, Holland.
First he was, like his father J. Casteelen stonecutter.
After 1819 he abandoned stonecutting to seek
a career as a painter, he specialized in landscapes.
J.G. Casteelen had exhibitions in Haarlem and Amsterdam.
Works in possession of Museum De Lakenhal, Leiden.
