Petrus G. Vertin
1819-1893
Petrus Gerardus Vertin, born in The Hague 1819,
died in The Hague 1893.
Most probably P.G. Vertin had his first drawinglessons
from J.H.A.A. Breckenheimer. He was a student of the
artschool in The Hague, pupil of B.J. van Hove. In 1835
he won an artprize. Co-worker with Charles Rochussen.
P.G. Vertin lived and worked in the Hague. Famous painter
of town-views with lighteffects.
Exhibitions in Amsterdam, The Hague and Antwerp.
Works in possession of numerous museums, a.o.
Rijksmuseum, Rijksprentenkabinet and Museum Willet-
