Cornelis Koppenol
1865-1946
Cornelis Koppenol was born in Zoetermeer December 26th, 1865. He died in The Hague in 1946. He studied at the Artschool of The Hague for 6 years. He lived in The Hague, Delft, Rijswijk and Nunspeet. When he was young he worked at "De Porceleyne Fles" in Delft. Cornelis Koppenol was a painter, he made watercolours, drawings and etchings. His subjects were portraits, still lives, beach views with figures, cattle markets, landscapes with people at work, farmhouse interiors with people etc. He also was a painter of old and historical buildings. C. Koppenol was a teacher at the The Hague Artschool. Works in possesion of the Haags Gemeentemuseum and Rijksmuseum Kroller-Muller in Otterlo.
