Antoinette A. Hoytema
1875-1967
Antoinette Agathe van Hoijtema was born December 6th, 1875 in Delft, she died in The Hague on September 30st, 1967. Student of the artcircle "Kunstoefening" she had lessons from H.P. Bremmer. She lived and worked in Brummen, after 1905 in Scheveningen and The Hague. She travelled through Italy, Spain and North and South Africa. Antoinette van Hoytema was a painter in a naturalistic style of landscapes, city views, portraits and still lives. She also made watercolours, drawings and lithographs. Member of "De Onafhankelijken" in Amsterdam and the "Woman Painters Organisation". Work of hers owned by Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen Rotterdam, Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo a.o.
