Jan van Ravenswaay
1789-1869
Jan van Ravenswaay, born in Hilversum 1789, he died in Hilversum 1869. (Holland) He travelled in Belgium, Germany and Switserland. Jan van Ravenswaay became member of the Royal Art School in Amsterdam in 1822 and in 1831 of "Arti Sacrum" Rotterdam. Painter of landscapes with cattle and interiors of stables with cattle. Exhibitions in Haarlem, Amsterdam, The Hague and Leeuwarden. Works in possession of the Rijksmuseum, Rijksprentenkabinet and Museum Fodor in Amsterdam, Teylers Stichting Haarlem, Rijksmuseum Kröller-Müller Otterlo, Goois Museum Hilversum, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen Rotterdam and others.
