Frederik Serger
1889-1938
Frederick Serger was born in Czechoslovakia in 1889. Student of the artschool in Vienna and Munich. Until 1938 he had various solo exhibitions in Poland and from 1934 he also exhibited in Paris. He left Poland permanentely in 1939. First he lived in London, than in the U.S.A., he became an American citizen in 1946. Frederick Serger had exhibitions all over the U.S.A. and in Mexico. Works by him in possession of museums in Poland, in the Museum of the City of Paris, France, the Art Collectors and Artists Association, Buffalo, U.S.A. Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio, San Francisco Museum, San Francisco, California and others. In addition, Serger paintings are reproduced in many art magazines, newspapers and catalogues.
