Willem Vaarzon Morel
1868-1955
W.F.A.I. "Willem" Vaarzon Morel, born Zutphen 1868, die Koudekerke 1955 (Holland). Student at the artschools in Haarlem and Amsterdam, he also studied in France. Willem Vaarzon Morel travelled in Germany, Austria, Switserland, Italy and in the United Kingdom. For several years he was a protegee of the Dutch Queen Wilhelmina. Willem Vaarzon Morel won in 1891 a prize from the "Willink van Collenfund". He painted landscapes, people, animals and flowers. Also made illustrations and posters. Works o.a. in the Zeeuws Museum Middelburg.
